Comprised of 10 modules, each accompanied by an audio version of the module, the Intermediate Welsh Diploma Course combines practical vocabulary with grammatical explanations to ensure you can use the language actively and engage in more complex conversations. Furthermore, a brief assessment at the end of each module aids comprehension and consolidates your learning.
The Intermediate Welsh Diploma Course uses thematic topics to explain intermediate-level grammatical structures and extend your vocabulary.
You’ll learn to talk in the past tense, combine the past simple tense with the past continuous tense, and how to use the passive voice, several key modal verbs, the imperative, demonstrative pronouns, several key grammatical points related to possession, adverbs and Welsh’s ‘big four’ irregular verbs.
Alongside learning about these grammar rules, you’ll be introduced to vocabulary and phrases that will enhance your conversational skills. You’ll learn how to talk about useful topics and conversational points, such as the weather, education, animals, travel, moving house, your possessions, and outdoor activities, as well as how to give directions and instructions.
By the end of the Intermediate Welsh Diploma Course, you will have significantly expanded and enriched your knowledge of the Welsh language and will be well on your way to holding increasingly complex conversations with native Welsh speakers.
