I’ve never been part of the cool kids club so I pushed past the fear and embrace the discomfort to get where I want to go.

My traditional Chinese upbringing taught me to make myself small and quiet. To fit in, go along, and above all, make people happy. But the fire in my gut has always told me to make my voice heard…even when it scared the shit out of me.

I learned how to bypass the gatekeeper and bust through the backdoor. But not without falling on my ass first.
