Have you ever seen someone who proclaims the ultimate truth with glassy eyes? Congratulations: you’ve seen someone clearly under the influence of a concept.
And there is also something more subtle – when a person seems normal and speaks normally, but the conversation takes place under the general background of “you can’t beat a stick on your head”: obsessed with a concept, he does not accept criticism, nor logic, nor pictures, nor arguments, and constantly returns to a set of his beliefs (mantras).
Concepts live on our consciousness like viruses on our bodies.
We will discuss at the seminar the terrible psychological consequences of the concept of a disciplinary society and what it does to us as individuals and to us as a society, what society could be like if “discipline” were understood differently, what can be attempted today, what can be opposed to it, and how this “different” approach can be implemented.
