Descriptions of all lessons in this course.
Lesson 1: Introduction to the Mystical Way
The “Mystical Way” provides the framework that describes the process of human spirituality leading to unique awareness and addresses humanity’s relationship with transcendent forces, or God. There has always been a great need and desire to understand what lies beyond our human experience. As this Mystical Way is coming to an end, how will it impact our mystical process and connection with the divine? How is it connected to the tensions we’re experiencing in the world right now?
Lesson 2: Individuality, Mutation and Magic
The evolutionary direction of the Mystical Way begins with the 19th Gate, and the pressure to rise above the mammalian domain that establishes Tribal religion. It ends with the Individual mutative process and its potential for awakening. In this lesson, Ra expands upon the Tribal way, and the reality of magic as part of this process. Several charts are used as examples, including Ra’s own chart.
Lesson 3: The Mystical Stream
This lesson provides an analysis of the Channels and Gates that together comprise the Mystical Stream, and how this stream operates as a whole. The process of the Mystical way starts with the pressure arising from the Tribal need to experience connection to higher forces, leading to the fear of God and worship. A time of testing can potentially lead to the discovery of self-love, which is the way of the mystical process. This lesson takes us through a step-by-step analysis of the Mystical Stream, and why it is now time to complete the process.
Lesson 4: The Six Mystical Pressures: Part I
The six Lines of the 19th Gate represent the pressures found in the mystical process, resulting in specific keynotes and forming the mystical Profile based in the Personality and Design Profile lines. The 19th Gate pressures us to see the interrelatedness of all beings, and the mystical Profile in our chart shows the potential for a mystical experience. This lesson focuses on the upper trigram, the first three pressure Lines of the mystical Profile.
Lesson 5: The Six Mystical Pressures: Part II
This lesson continues an analysis of the mystical pressures as found within the Lines of the upper trigram. While the lower trigram Lines describe a personal mystical experience, the upper Lines refer to a transpersonal experience. The pressures in the upper trigram show the way out of the homogenized Not-Self to the experience of individual singularity. Our mystical profile guides each of us in finding our true spirituality. Ra also tells the story of a mystical experience in his life.
Lesson 6: The Channel of Communal Ritual
The Channel 19/49 describes the communal Ritual of the harvest and the slaughter needed for survival. The 19th Gate is the root of animism and the experience of magic and nature; the 49th Gate describes the fear of nature and the unknowable, with the potential to both sacrifice and to be sacrificed. In this early stage of the Mystical way, each Line is discussed in relation to how humans deal with the fear of nature and the unknowable.
Lesson 7: The Channel of Tribal Spirituality
The next channel in the Mystical Stream is the 37/40, the Channel of Tribal Spirituality; it describes the need to be touched by God, and to bargain with God. While technically not a mystical channel, it serves as a bridge between the two Mystical Channels 19/49 and 51/25. In this lesson, Ra delves deeply into each Line of Gates 37 and 40, and explains the role of this bridging Channel in the evolution of the Mystical Way and the search for truth.
Lesson 8: The Channel of Mystical Direction
The Mystical Way continues with the Mystical Direction of Channel 51/25 — the initiation and potential empowerment of the 51st Gate in the adrenalized emotional Ego, and the 25th Gate of the Spirit in the G-Center of Identity and Direction. At its essence, the Mystical Way is about finding authority: “Who’s running the show? Who is the boss?” This lesson adds another layer of Line keynotes to our realization that we are holistic beings.
Lesson 9: The Channel of the Nature of the Mystical Being
Ra explores Channel 20/10, the final Channel of the Mystical Way and the true expression of spirituality. While discussing each Line of both Gates, he focuses on the higher principles of Gate 10 and the existential manifestation of Gate 20, including its different paths. Is there a goal to the Mystical Way, and does everyone have an identical experience of it? This lesson helps us understand how we can fulfill our spiritual potential.
Lesson 10: The Lines of the Way
This final lesson outlines the six Mystical Ways — the six mystical archetypes of each Profile Line. Ra describes the keynotes of each Profile Line through each Gate of the Mystical Way. Seeing the Mystical Way within the context of our own Design helps us understand our personal and unique process towards fulfilling the drive to experience transcendent consciousness. Ra ends the course with a mystical story, and the story of his dog, Barley Baker.
